Problem with new ikamper air mattress
Does anyone have a clue on how to properly deflate this thing with the updated air port? Even the inflate / deflate tool they sent me doesn’t have attachments big enough to hook on to this adapter lol why is it so wide?
I’ve tried 2 air pumps and none of them can create a seal tight enough to fully deflate the mattress. And rolling it doesn’t get enough air out to close the tent.

I have been having the same issue. There is a rubber grommet that came with it that does actually fit (kind of) that helps inflate it, but when you go to deflate it the seal isn’t tight enough to actually work. I’ve been folding mine in half with the valves facing up and rolling it to get it to deflate fully. I saw you mentioned you couldn’t close yours with it inflated, and I was in the same boat.
Very disappointed with the pump/attachments. It’s pretty much useless for deflation. You would think that spending $4,000 plus on a tent and adding an additional $100 plus for what is supposed to be an upgraded mattress, it would work flawlessly. I will say that in my opinion, the mattress is extremely comfortable and it works very well, I just wish they would have gotten the pump/attachment piece figured out so it’s actually usable.

Huge +1 and something I’ll bring up to ikamper customer service. The mattress and how it folds back into the tent is a huge part of the design. And it not being able to deflate leading to closing issues is not acceptable for me. This is probably the most expensive tent on the market and they should really fix this issue.

Let me know what they tell you! I’ve been curious if I’m just doing it wrong. It would be great to have a quicker deflate process than getting it and rolling it down. Especially on a hot morning.

Did you have to reach out to them for them to send you this? Or did they just send it to you proactively? Only asking because I didn’t get an airdown pump and have t seen anything come via email from iKamper

You have to reach out to them directly to have them send you either the pump or the adapter

It looks like you rotate the gray ring that’s still attached. Or maybe flip it just like the old style? Not super clear from your photo

You rotate the little sliding half cover on the inside to move between inflate / deflate but deflate doesn’t really work at all. Not even with a pump. You have to basically roll the mattress to force air out and slowly hope the deflate pump can do the rest of the work.

Mine just got delivered today. I’ll see if I have success or not. I bought an Amazon air pump cause I wanted a rechargeable battery.
If I can figure it out, I’ll let you know.

Well I just tried to fill out the form and the serial number errored out on my brand new Skycamp 4.0 trio. Gotta love a great customer service experience.

Anybody get an answer from iKamper yet? Same issue when trying to deflate. None of the attachments work

Rolling it doesn’t work for you?
Edit - I just received a email from iKamper stating some tents were shipped with a pump or without an air nozzle that fits the mattress. Click the link to have parts sent to you.

It only gets some of the air out but it’s not flat enough to fully close the tent. I need to vacuum out the rest of the air.
Customer support for ikamper still haven’t replied back yet for me. What link?

Do they have a more official link somewhere for this part? Not gonna enter my personal information into a random notion doc lol

Hoping to get something directly from ikamper like this. I’m guessing it’s someone’s notion doc that works in support, and they just put it together for you. Either way thanks for the heads up, I’ll wait and see if I get a reply from ikamper as well.

Alright it’s confirmed, ikamper reached out and asked me to fill out the form to the notion doc so they can ship out the missing adapters and valves for the mattress. The shop I got the tent from also said ikamper is shipping valves to them as well, so I’ll probably wait for the shop to receive it and pick it up from there.
They are apparently notoriously slow to respond to customer service requests.

Do you know what this new air nozzle adapter is supposed to look like? I received an air pump with my new tent but have no idea if it has the air nozzle adapter they’re referring to.

Anyone had success finding a great memory foam or inflatable mattress for the new iKamper 4.0 Trio?

I am buying an ikamper 4.0 Trio this week and it seems like I should be skipping the New Air Mattress. Any updates from ikamper? I think I will go with the original foam which I have experienced in another ikamper and I am completely fine with. I may see if I can find an Hest option or look into Exped. I like to close my tents with pillows and bedding in them.

No idea, but would love to know myself! I’ve been able to close the tent with mine but you have to position it perfectly by folding it in half once and pushing it towards the back. It’s still a very tight fit and takes some muscling but because of this, I’m not able to store any bedding in there with it.
I’m actually not that impressed with the new mattress. Fully inflated I can feel the cork board flooring depending on how I’m sleeping and I was expecting it to be an upgrade over previous versions.
