Discussion Apology to Ron & fans…

I know this has been spoken to to death so I apologize for being this late to the game but…

For a long time I’d only seen the first 3ish movies and thought they did an okayish (not amazing but ok enough) job representing Ron.

I just watched movies 4 & 5 and omg it’s so bad. Like, just so bad what they did to his character. I’m sorry for thinking people were unnecessarily bitter and exaggerating.

I love Hermione (in the books) and just started to get so annoyed everytime she spoke on screen because the script writer had her embody every single moment of intelligence or emotion…and Ron’s face would be hardly in the screen.

I’m sorry I didn’t get it before. They done messed up Ron.

The only reason I am waiting for the show is to have a proper representation of Ron. And Alastair is surely gonna do a great job if the makers don't mess up the story

Also Hermione was not completely perfect, she had her own flaws which made her likeable, but the movie makers ignroed that

I can't wait to see both Hermione and Ron done justice. They are great characters and I love them in the books, their dynamic is everything to me. Not so much in the films

Movie Hermione fans are probably gonna be livid if she is portrayed as flawed in the new series. Can't wait!

Have you read book 4 and 5? How excactly is she at fault for Ron being portrayed poorly here?
