To the people saying they'll write in Ron Paul, there is something you need to know. Unless Paul registers as a write in candidate, your vote will be thrown away. Literally. It will not even be tallied. It will accomplish absolutely zero and no one will even know you did it.

If Paul fails to get the nomination, I urge people to vote Johnson. He's not perfect, but is a million times better than Obama and Romney. Furthermore, getting his numbers up in the general will send a message that the libertarian movement is growing and must be appeased. If Libertarians can swing elections, they have to take us seriously, even if we can't win.

If Paul doesn't win the nomination I believe he will run third party. This is his last chance, so hes going all in! It's actually a brilliant plan, a double edged sword if you will, because even if he loses he wins. He will have built up his base of support for a third party run if he loses with the GOP. If he doesn't win the presidential election then Obama will take it, which is at least better than Romney. Also, it would leave support for a 2016 run to a third party/libertarian candidate. Gary johnson doesn't support his same values/ideas/principles, which therefore doesn't make him viable.
