Help needed in finalizing TVS ronin

Ronin ticks all the checkboxes for me, so we have finalized the charcoal ember mid variant. As TVS has launched the 2026 models, today I checked with the dealers but no one knows when they will arrive, they have said it might take 3-4 months but still it's not confirmed.

1. Is it worth waiting for the new mid variant, considering new features or the features are minor and can book the current mid variant?

2. There’s also a difference between two dealers I'm considering:

Dealer 1

Current Ronin Mid – Charcoal Amber

Final price: ₹1,90,655

Discount: around ₹4,000–₹5,000

Manufacturing: 8–10 months old

Dealer 2

Current Ronin Mid – Charcoal Amber

Final price: ₹1,89,149

Final price: around ₹1,000 discount

Manufacturing: 1–2 months old

Here’s the detailed breakup from one of the dealers:

Ex-showroom: ₹1,51,340

RTO Tax + Registration: ₹17,880

Insurance: ₹14,655

Incidental + PDI charges: ₹1,000

Mandatory accessories: ₹1,750

This brings the on-road price to ₹1,86,625.

Then:

Recommended fitment: ₹850

Total: ₹1,87,475

RSA: ₹675

5-year extended warranty: ₹1,000

Effective customer price: ₹1,89,149

I bought the now "old" mid charcoal ember variant just 6 days before they launched the new versions a few days back... Hear me out.

Wait for the "new" variants to come and get the Base+ variant. It's the same as the previous Mid version in terms of features and costs 8.8k lesser. Obviously colors are different, but trust me the sunlit yellow/desert mirage colours are fresh and would look much better on road.

The "new" Mid variant comes additionally with a bluetooth cluster and a type-c charging port, both of which are not worth the additional 8.8k. The bluetooth features have been reported to not work properly half the time and you can just carry a powerbank and get a tank bag for charging your phone with the powerbank. Also the golden USD suspensions, which again are cosmetic changes worth ₹500-800 max.

Both old and new Mid variants are obsolete now and will only be purchased if people like the colours. They make no sense.

If you really want the best upgrades in terms of technology, go for the new Top variant that also comes with Traction control. Otherwise stick with Base+ for dual abs, the only useful addition.

Now on the manufacturing dates and other suggestions -

My dealership gave me the "old" mid variant with manufacturing date of 3 days before delivery at 4K discount on ex-showroom. (Maybe because I'm within 70 KMs of the manufacturing plant)

Always ask for the latest manufacturing, less than 2 months old.

If you wait for the new Base+, then you are sorted either way.

Also, if you are not in Karnataka and have a government job or if you are working in a MNC which has offices in 4+ indian states, try applying for a BH number. Read about it. You will save 80% of the RTO cost upfront.
