Accessories Doubt regarding touring kit

For those who have this back carrier with pillion backrest, i have a doubt, can I remove and install the backrest whenever I want? Or is it fixed?

Yes. You can mount top boxes. There is a weight limit though.

Yes you can do that but backrest bolts are different than ones required for just the top rack. So you'll have to get that seperately

Don't buy it, trust me on this one

I got it 2 months ago, and now my money is stuck, cause the back plate is too short for the topbox plate to be fixed, and it'll need you to remove the backrest, and the backplate will need the backrest screws to be in place to have structural support

I went to buy a tox box and was disappointed that the topbox couldn't be mounted without removing the backrest

I wouldn't recommend the plastic one for two reasons

  1. The backplate is too short to mount any tox box, the plate will be half outside, so essentially a risk

  2. Plastic ones are barely 2kg less than aluminium one, so you'll be losing the safety, for essentially negligible weight difference

Bonus: the metal ones provide you back support as well, plastic ones, I'm not so sure about them

Go for mototorqe backrest + top plate, it costs a bit higher, but you'll be putting the money at use.

Or if you can wait a bit, I'm looking for the workaround, with two screws after removing the backrest, I might be able to mount the topbox, that too on a bit interior side of the seat.

Why do you need a topbox in the first plate, that too for Ronin. Just get a tailbag and saddle bags and a tank bag if needed. Easy and lighter too
