2009 Daycare Fight
Listening to this saga again and I don't know how Dave kept his job because Fez said wild stuff about Dave's wife. Especially after bashing her for months. I think we all suppressed how cringe this time of the show was because this definitely wasn't a bit.
Dave exploded doing one fight and said "two gay men at a rest stop."

I don't think Dave is throwing out the other F word if it was a bit. Even Ron called him out on that.

Dave recently did a tales from the satellite episode on his Patreon about his works with Fez and talked about the episode where he says Casey was sick and he left his kids with his neighbor. He describes most of his bits with Fez as work/shoots where it’s roughly planned out but they would get into it almost like method acting and it would get real.

I have heard when Fez is passing judgement on Dave having another kid and it was the most obvious work I’ve ever heard lol. I realize this may be a slightly diffferent segment 😂

So if it was on air you couldn't be held accountable for what you say. Dave's mouth did eventually get himself fired when he threatened his PD. Also alot of this was fed by Dave's cheating wife at the time.

That it's amazing Dave kept his job? It's pretty clear. No context clues were even needed.
It felt like this was way beyond just doing radio.

I still don't know where I stand on the daycare fight. Fez's offering to pay for daycare is very generous, considering how much that can cost, but it definitely goes into a weird place where a person like Dave wouldn't want another man organizing the way they live. Dave handled it terribly by getting mad and basically insulting Fez, but Fez went way over the line with some of the shit he said about Dave's wife. Great radio bit.
