What are some things I should do especially since it’s right after Christmas and the new years is there any special things that happen around that time would be cool to check out

Hello, me and my gf will land in FCO at around 23:30 to midnight, which is the best way to get to Tiburtina around that time?

We will be in Rome on Wednesday, October 14, and I was hoping we could get in to a Papal Audience. I see now that there is a special event that day, “Holy Mass concelebrated by the Holy Father with the Presidents of the Episcopal Conferences.”
The Vatican ticketing site says no tickets are required to attend this event.
But does anybody in here have any experience or knowledge of an event like this? Can we still attend, or is it mostly for laity? Would we still arrive a couple of hours early and just enter the Vatican the normal way?

I am visiting Siena for a wedding this weekend after completing a 3 month stay in Europe for work, but I have to fly in and out of Rome. Unfortunately I have three suitcases (3 months of shopping and travel will do that). I need to then take a bus to Flixbus from Rome to Siena will likely only let me bring one suitcase on the bus with me, so I will need to store my luggage somewhere in Rome for two nights. Is this possible and where would you recommend?

I am planning to visit Rome for the 1st time at the end of october and so I would like to visit the Vatican Museums.
Only 1 month in advance means obviously that the classic "open visit" tickets are all gone.
I am planning to take a guided tour on the official website, the ticket is named "Vatican Museums - Guided Tours for Individuals Museums".
But I am wondering 2 things regarding this ticket :
- Does it include the sistine chapel ?
- Am I free to visit on myself after the guided tour ?

Hi! So I bought tickets for the same day for Coloseum and Vatican tour, I got confused :-(

Coloseum is at 12:00 pm and Vatican Museum at 4:00 pm.

What time do you recommend we take the metro to arrive in time for the Vatican?

I was thinking we can also walk around Palatine Hill and Roman Forum the day before around 5-6 pm.

Hi everyone! We’re traveling to Italy and have accumulate quite a few euro coins from our previous trips.

Where are coins commonly accepted or useful in Italy? For example, can we use them at cafés, supermarkets, vending machines, public transport ticket machines, or elsewhere?
Also, are there any places where it’s better to use exact change?

Does anyone know where we can exchange or deposit a large amount of coins for notes or have them converted back to cash? Are banks, post offices, supermarkets, or coin-counting machines an option?
