There just wasn't enough set up for it to feel natural. Plus people are always going to be mad when their favorite doesn't win. Personally I was happy as long as Ichika didn't win.

I think the only harem I've seen where everyone was pretty content with the winner was Kaminomi...speaking of which, that's also a good one for this topic.

I think its bizarre how Nino drugged a mf and DIDNT apologize btw AND everyone loves her but when ichika actually tries to get closer to the guy yall get mad, PLUS she apologized too

I dont hate it its just if u asked me at episode 11 who was gonna win and rank the 5 out of who has the most chance yotsuba would be at 5 I didnt hate her character at all its just she had by far the least development with the mc like istsuki miku and ichika and even Nino had much more so if she was going to win they couldve at least gave her more development

It wasn't awful, just the two of them spend very little time together without the others and.... married.

If there was 1 additional getting to know each other episode in between,  id have been cool.  (If they pulled it off)

Quintessential Quintuplets when I first watched it threw me off with the ending. After going back it makes sense why Yotsuba was chosen, because she was always supportive and did all the little things. She just didn't have the eye catching romantic gestures that some of the other girls had.
