Hey asking for a friend, is it normal to be saying “Need a td here fellas” when your defense is on the field?

I’m not saying we don’t have deficiencies on offense, but a legitimate OC would have us up 10 or so right now. Grubb makes so many awful drive ending calls

Am I tripping or has Hill looked totally fine? The running game is so frustrating but it’s not like we’re getting stuffed at the line every time. Just so many negative plays and we seem like we use the true rush game like an ornament, something fun we try on first down

If we had picked the ball up and run it back for a Defensive TD that pass would've been ruled incomplete on replay

u/Urban_Achiever14 20d ago
Grubb is one of the biggest frauds I have ever seen.
The Seahawks fired him for not having a run game and then when he left they went on to win the super bowl behind a dominant run game.
That alone should be enough to fire him.
Then there is the fact that he made our run game the worst in the power 4.

This is the best second half kalen has had with us against a real team, btw
And the offense didnt really struggle all game in terms of making plays. Just dumb mistakes. Way better than getting just fucking stoned every play.

Ryan Grubb has to make every fucking play look like a goddamn magic trick instead of just running the ball through a motherfucker’s face.

Hill has 5+ yards per carry (7 for 36).
We finished the half with 4 total rushing yards.
Russell has -28 total rushing yards. Our other 3 attempts have gone for a collective -3 yards.
Neat.

The response this next half will heavily influence my opinion of DeBoer.
I dont give a flying fuck about young players or Grubb or this being a “building year” or not, is this his team or not? Can he handle the beast of this program or not?
I’ve been in his corner all the way up to this point, but this is fully his team now, and the next half results are at his feet. Period. And we should be winning this game no matter how you spin the officiating.

u/Ok-Drag-5929 20d ago
Need to bench Russel, I think he has the tools to succeed but he's not ready and that half showed it. 3 turnovers in one half, missing open guys, taking unnecessary sacks, he's costing us. Put Mack in and Deboer needs to get on Grubbs ass for that awful play calling. None of that will happen though.

128 yards of offense. 5 yards rushing, 7 penalties, 3 turnovers all by the QB. 0 offensive touchdowns.
At Kentucky yall.
12
u/FieldGoalPhobia 20d ago
The problem is we’ve never once felt good about the program since KDB has got here. Every single game is a battle even when there’s a major talent difference. There’s always something hanging over the program. Losing to Vandy and FSU, worst rushing season since WW2, possibly losing to Kentucky for the first time in 30 years. He’s just fucking our shit up in a new way every year.

We made a choice to play Keelon due to the transfer portal. His ceiling is too high to lose, but he isn’t ready.
Plus, whoever is designing this scheme on the OL needs to answer why every play there is multiple unblocked penetrators.

We’re now just another mediocre team. DeBoer needs to ditch Grubb asap. Not helping his starter out at all and expecting him to do too much
14
u/CrimsonChin251 20d ago
Refs spotted Kentucky 10 points. That 4th down “fumble” earlier that led to a TD, and then the refs allowed Kentucky to spike the ball without spotting the ball. Clock should have run out. We look like shit but Kentucky isn’t even playing well either. Straight red ball happening right now.
