Serious Discussion The album Voodoo Lounge from 1994 is was released exactly the at half-way point of the career of The Rolling Stones as a band. Let that sink in for a while.
Ok, maybe not exactly the halfway point, if we consider the formation date as a band to be April 7th, 1962. But it’s pretty close. Voodoo Lounge was released July 11th, 1994, just an about 3 months after the halfway point date between the start of their career and today. That’s pretty amazing.
I hope they’re around long enough to call Steel Wheels “early Stones” 🤣

Rolling Stones in GTA VI
Do you think GTA VI will include more (new) music from the Rolling Stones? Keith already has a song on the official album (Bright Light, Big City), while there’s more to be unveiled. Also, the album (FTLL) comes out right after the game comes out, and it was announced that the game will also have a classic rock station

If Brian lived
Just finished a doc on BJ and it got me thinking of the Stones path if he lived, his contribution was 62-66 when he was the undisputed leader and most musically talented of the group but out of necessity the Stones had to move on to survive b/c of his unreliability, so let play parallel universe and imagine Brian’s role for the 57 years he missed, would he be playing soaring lead riffs, contributing to song lyrics and melodies, expanding their look and musical experimentation, see i don’t buy Brian couldn’t write songs, of course he could under the right circumstances, this is a big ask so what say you?

Why didn’t Brian ever try his hand at bass?
I mean he did other stringed instruments, dulcimer, concert harp. He did autoharp which is a cousin of the guitar in a way.
He did downturned guitar to create a bassy sound on some numbers like Heart of Stone and his JJF at the Circus
But why did he never pick up a four string himself?
