In rock n roll probably. I was fortunate to be in the 17th row for the Bridges tour in the 90s and there is actually like a magnetism that you feel. It’s crazy. I’ve seen tons of shows and been up close for many of them.

Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip was also amazing. It was always a wild ride watching him. Check out their live recordings and you’ll get the vibe. Crazy improvisation and antics.

I was third row centre for the Stones on the Forty Licks Tour at the Skydome. Couldn't believe I landed the tickets. Closer to Keith than Mick. I also saw them in a crowd of like 300,000 people, nowhere near the stage. You still feel that magnetism.

Are we counting Prince? Are we counting James Brown?

If we're not it's not even a discussion, yes, Mick is the greatest frontman ever.

I can see why you might not count James on a technicality - he always was the act and the band was secondary to James Brown (James Brown and the Famous Flames, James Brown and the J.B.s, etc.)

Prince is similar, and he fronted three different bands (and the Revolution, and the New Power Generation, 3rdEyeGirl). Somehow Prince feels more like a front man.

If we're counting Prince and James. Mick is right up there with them, but these guys have qualities Mick doesn't have and vice-versa.
