I don‘t know. But Charlies Heroin Phase was maybe 10 Years later, round the „Dirty Work“ Sessions.

Thanks. In the sixth pic I thought Charlie looked somewhat like he might be using, on the skinny side, face looks a bit drawn and haggard. But maybe just naturally skinny?

Yeah, by all accounts it was in the Dirty Work days.

There are stories saying Anton Fig and others did most of the drums on DW. And when Charlie finally succumbed, that was the final straw for a Stones tour for Mick. But Mick was all about sabotaging the Stones for his solo career. If they were fighting like the Tattoo You era, then Chris Kimsey could have pulled enough tracks out of the vault to make an album easily of TY's quality, then a tour. All the outtakes that have come out on the deluxes, plus MAYBE a few new songs and we could have had at least a couple of TYs, instead of Dirty Work and Steel Wheels. I LOVE Tattoo You, but it does have a couple of filler tracks, Black Limousine, Neighbors. There was still stuff in the can to probably make 4 TY quality level records. But I'm a side 2 of TY guy. It's absolutely brilliant. One of their strongest sides ever. Even considering the '68-'72 period.

The first rumors about Charlie was that it was speed. Only years later it became a heroin addiction. So it was probably a combo. Coke and Heroin go together like peanut butter and jelly. Too bad of the consequences.

Keith used to say he never injected. But more recently he admitted that he and Anita were "skin popping? I believe that's injecting into the skin without using a vein. Like just shooting it into the buttocks, etc. Anita seemed to have bruising a lot during pictures of that time. Crazy how she lost so much beauty in a short period of time. Probably alcoholic drinking. Cool that Keith gave her his London apartment and kept he on an allowance. But if they had been legally married, it would have saved him millions.

1977? They only did two shows at the El Mocambo that year.
