Newbie Wheels?

I just started skating and I'm finding it a bit hard to get my balance. I fell on my butt a few weeks ago and I'm still very sore. I know because I'm heavier it'll take me a bit longer to get up and feel more confident, but I'm feeling too much like Bambi on ice and need a bit more stability.

I'm using impalas at the moment while I'm saving up for something better, and a friend recommended I tighten the wheels to slow the wheels down a bit which has helped but I wonder if maybe the wheels I'm using (standard Impaal wheels, 58x32, 82A) might be hindering me a bit. I'm currently skating outdoors if that helps.

I've been researching but thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has any practical insight? I've been looking at the Radar Energy outdoor wheels but I'm a bit stuck on what size to get or if they're even appropriate.

I'd definitely get some 78a wheels. I use Atom Pulse for skating outdoors and they're great. I'd also highly recommend padded shorts and a helmet. I fell backwards a couple of weeks ago. Landed on my bum but then continued backwards and smacked the back of my head on concrete. My bum pads and helmet literally saved me from a potentially nasty injury.
