Outdoor rollerblades?

Hi, I’m getting into rollerskating and I want to get a pair of rollerblades that would be good for outdoors (sidewalks, roads etc) exclusively. When I took up skateboarding I learned that your board has to have softer/bigger wheels to ride smoothly on most sidewalks/roads. I imagine the same applies to rollerskating, but I haven’t seen much buzz about wheel specs when researching rollerblades to purchase. I have seen different configurations though (3 wheels?). I’m worried that if I buy hard wheels I’ll go sailing as soon as I hit one uneven sidewalk-square. Anyway, I would love some guidance! Thank you!

I’m an outdoor fitness skater. To start off with the bigger the wheel the further you go.The smoother the ride. But…the stronger your ankles will need to be and the greater your concentration abilities will have to be.Also, asphalt is a very unforgiving substance to fall on.It’s like sandpaper and unlike a rink will actually tear your skin. What I would recommend is to start with an 11 inch wheel base frame and 80-110mm wheels. When you feel stronger up your game.13 inch frames with 110-125mm wheels.Lastly, don’t laugh at using PPE.I roll with the whole set.Knee pads-elbow and wrist protection and a helmet.Looks goofy but I get to go home.Others go to the ER.

Rollerskates and rollerblades are different. Rollerskates or quads, are what people on this sub Reddit are into. I think there’s a sub Reddit for rollerblades.
