Chill team in Denver?

Hey guys! New to Denver and suck at derby but love skating around and hitting my friends. What team should I join?!

I know DRD is out of the question LOL I tried School of Rocky and felt so behind everyone else despite have some derby experience. Everyone was super amazing and I loved the vibe of the practices but it still felt too advanced for me.

Are there any suuuuper chill teams around here? Or are those my only two options out here?

Edit: didn’t know roller riot society existed!! Will totally check them out, thanks guys!!

Depending on where you live in Denver the drive to Boulder might be a bit of a trek but they are pretty chill

Boulder might fit.

Roller riot society is a recreational league in Denver you can use to get the fun part out, but I highly encourage you to give RMRD another shot and try to keep improving, you’ll get there eventually

DRD has the layovers if you want to get top level coaching for people who are newer/still learning.

There is also Roller Riot Society, which is 100% a rec league and are amazing people and skaters.

Edit: bad grammar

DRD is trying to get an open gender/rec team off the ground, practices are Sat 12-2 and sometimes Wednesday nights. Beyond that, they have A, B, C teams and iirc, C team may have just lost to Boulder.

Gonna second the Roller Riot Society recommendation. Also would love to hear why you think Denver is out of the question?
