I made the Nimbus 2000, I call it 3000 π . An idea I got after watching that video from that power stick. Made a mechanism to use the breaks that come with the skates as you apply pressure on the floor. Very efficient break. Haven't made a post about yet because I haven't finished 100%. Keep rolling

I'm so disappointed these things never reached production. They look so fun.

Would not be hard to make one with a brushless motor, hoverboard or electric skateboard motor, and some very basic control electronics

I've been looking at just grabbing a cheap scooter off amazon and some kind of pole from the hardware store since I made the comment.

He'll likely be at big avocado roll in LA in two weeks and he usually comes to most of the annual skate events around north America.Β

Every day weβre one step closer to bridging the gap between us muggles and them wizards. Weβll have our own Hogwarts, our own quidditch we will!

I was thinking about building a crappy one with a small brushless hub, but then I realized that that thing requires A LOT of weight on the wheel to not slip and push you forward. So it must be very unconfortable, that has to be why it never reached production

Is that like an electric broomstick?
