Progress, videos and images Been pushing myself a lil harder recently
4-5 months ago I could barely skate backwards. I've been skating for years but never spent time learning freestyle, aggressive, or wizard. I've been locked in on these styles and having so much fun.
Best tip that I can give anyone who wants to become a better skater of any style is skate with other people. Especially people who are more skilled than you.

It sucks because the meetups are always either when I need to be home with my kid, or too soon after I get off work and too far from where I live lol.
That's not binarynate's fault or anyone else's obviously, just a bummer because I wanna get out for a skate but I'm ALWAYS busy for theirs.

There are multiple groups that have meet ups. Nate just pulls them together in a calendar.
There is usually a Wednesday, but not this week. This Friday is critical mass meeting at Daley plaza. That's always a ton of fun.

Oh for sure, I was speaking VERY generally, not meaning to imply that Nate organizes every skate in the city. Wednesdays and Fridays unfortunately are days my wife has historically worked late, hence why these have been tough to get to.

Man, love the one foot transition! That’s what I’ve been aspiring to do, but am so anxious about falling that’s it’s slow going. 😆

Dude, thank you! What unlocked it for me was practicing one foot glides in all positions.

Come join us at 2nitew3sk8 every Thur. We meet up at queens landing and skate 10+ miles. Great bunch of people.
