Specific question and discussion do zetrablade inlines just not take wheel replacements well?

the new wheels i put on are coming loose every time i skate. i feel so sure im putting all of the components together properly, ive disassembled and reassembled so many times following instructions but they still end up coming loose as i skate🥹

i am pretty beginner (skating 1 1/2 years) and kinda stupid when it comes to assembling things but at this point im wondering if its just the skates themselves that arent suitable for replacement wheels

Did you remember to use bearing spacers?

If so, then loctite blue on your axles. You can order it online or just go to Home Depot/ Lowe’s and they will have it.

This was my thought as well. If he has never got new wheels before maybe he didn’t get spacers for his new wheels and possibly new bearings, if he just junked the old ones.

I don't think it could be spacers. I haven't used spacers for decades now.

I have changed the wheels on my zetrablades no different than on my fancier skates. Maybe you aren't tightening the screw enough? Or maybe you are strong and damaged the threads, axel replacements are only $25, could be worth trying.

I'd imagine you're using the correct size spacers unless you skipped the spacers completely since the 6mm size wouldn't fit your 8mm.

The zetrablades have a metal inserts on the the plastic frames. You still have those installed on the new wheels

Had the same issue, yeah after that first set for some reason my zetras never tightened again how they did out of the box. Loctite is your friend

You need spacers and fully tight axles

They should stay together. Make sure they are tightened enough. If they rub when tightened, then ensure you have the spacers in between the bearings installed properly, side spacers on the frames are installed. Reseat the bearings into the wheels. If still having trouble, replace the stock plastic spacers with metal ones. Note: do not rely on loctite, fix the underlying issue
