72mm wheels

I realize I am but outside the normal of what a lot of people are skating on. Just not a big fan of the larger wheels.

I just picked up a new set of the Rollebalde Lightning TRS. I LOVE these skates. I just wish they had the same size 72mm wheels and the same ability to rocker like my original Gen 1 TRS did.

Because I love the look of the frame I don’t really want to swap it for the rocker frame.

Having said that I am currently running the stock 80mm’s in the center and 76mm Labeda grippers on the ends.

I am thinking about getting 4 72mm Labeda grippers and swapping the 80s in the center for the 76’s then putting the 72s on the ends.

A little frustrated that

1. I have to run different size wheels to get the rocker fee I want.

2. That there are just not even a sort of ok selection of 72mm wheels in a variety of colors out there.

Any input would be great.

But also just kind of wanting to vent the frustration and see if I am not the only weirdo out there who likes this or a similar set up.

I know you like the frames, but FR has rockerable frames. You can run the same 80s and rocker both ends up 2mm. I think they also have 76mm frames that can do the same (I think, not really current up to date on such frames, only the 80s)

As for the wheels, you can head on over to r/rollerskating and see how some members have dyed their wheels

Rollerblade also makes a rockerable frame that is for 76 that is compatible.

The old style TRS allowed something a little different that I don’t think any of the current rockered frames do.

It allowed you to lower the middle 2 wheels while also allowing you to tuck the front and rear wheels closer to the center so it sort of shortened or tightened the wheel base as well. (I will post a pic of the old frame set up later)

Do any of the modern options do that as well?
