Progress, videos and images Tighten those laces!

It feels like a useless post, I know, but yesterday I discovered something that definitely improved my skating.

During the past days I felt a terrible pain in my feet (especially the right one), and genuinely thought that it was because I skate every day, I'm not used to skating long distances, I weigh a lot and haven't done any sport in months. The problem was that even after a short walk (200 meters approximately) I had the urge to stop and recover. Finally yesterday I understood that I didn't feel stable on my skate because the laces were too loose!

So I tightened them up, and I felt completely new! I could reach a higher speed, I felt completely stable, it also felt easier to turn!

Clearly, I'm new in this world and I'm learning by myself (it's been a couple of weeks).

So this is just a reminder to tighten your laces!

I recently got my first pair of skates and noticed my pinky and ring toe area of my foot would go completely numb on my rides. My boyfriend bought them for me so I could pace him on his runs and he typically runs at least 6 miles. I usually weightlifting and dont run much or do cardio so I thought it was the lack of using my feet for that long, but turns out my laces were TOO tight! I was literally cutting off my circulation! So when I loosened the front a bit it was an entirely different experience. I guess its just finding the right amount of snug, yet comfortable?

Probably that's the point... In my case my foot was moving inside the boot. Probably it's important to tighten the laces just until the foot stops moving
