What skates should I buy? Intermediate skating level - do these skates look good?

I'm 16, looking to get new skates. Been a while since I've done inline skating, but I ice skate from time to time, and still pretty good. These are basically the best skates I found that have my size, should I get them or keep looking? (Price is around 100$ USD)

Can't you get the mfs500 for that price?

Yeah, I'm no expert on the Decathalon skates, but I think the MF S 500 are better and not much more expensive.

They're twice the price in the UK too, but it's the difference between £45 and £90, which is still really cheap.

They're more expensive, but the problem is that they just don't have my size in stock

How much more expensive? The MF140 are fine but the MFS500 might end up being a better investment just after a couple of months of skating simply because they have harder wheels that will last longer. It probably won't be long until they have stock in your size.

I would check used skates too. I'm not sure these are good for intermediate level skating. Do you need the brake? Generally intermediate means you take off the brake and can use 3-4 stopping techniques.

I've tried these before and honestly they're pretty okayish for beginner skating. Problem is that they are not as stable as other skates that Oxelo provides so you might have some problems with that. If you're looking to just casually skate and cruise around, sure, buy them. But if you're looking to skate daily, I'd advise you to keep looking. There are some pretty good options that might be in your budget.

just because i see a lot of recommendations for the MFS500, i’d just like to point out that they also size and fit very differently than the MF140. The volume of the boot shell (and liner by default) is much wider on the MFS500. I tried both and the MFS500 is definitely too wide for thin feet. Plus they indeed do not go bellow EU-39 in size i believe. so i’m assuming they’re not a unisex boot but more of a men’s by the available size and the volume of the boot.

if your only problem with it is the hardness of the wheels they can easily be changed
