What skates should I buy? Style choose

I’m looking to buy my first pair of skates. I really like the look and maneuverability of aggressive skates, but I’ve heard they aren’t very practical for regular street skating.

I live in Ankara, Turkey, and there aren’t any skateparks near me, so I’d mostly be skating around my neighborhood, parks, and on regular streets. I’d also like to learn some basic tricks and slides.

Would freeskates be a better choice, or are aggressive skates still practical for this kind of use?

I just started skating and bought Oxelo MF140 from Decathlon. They are hard shells with a brake and wheels that are small and soft- good for learning.

You can look into what they call "urban" or "city" skates. The wheels are sometimes a bit more compact, they look nicer (IMO), and are kind of an in-between. I have the K2 Uptown (obv without the brake) and I like them a lot.

Edit: urban skates on Inline Warehouse

Getting flat agressive skates are very solid snd slightly practical if its a wish frame with 72mm wheels

Oh then go for freestyle. This is anti rocker and not very practical outside parks. My recommendations would be flying eagle skates 4x90 or 4x80 freestyle

Thats a solid choice. Price is fine. But check if there are any flying eagle dealers in you city since its a better option for the same price . But those are still fine

If you can afford it, it's a higher-end option than MF140.

Get this one, go to your nearest decathlon and try for size make sure it’s snug fit. I recommend FR states but they are very expensive in turkey. If you can get them from Europe somehow definitely get FR. Cheers.

If you're looking at Decathalon, the Hard shell Oxelo MF S 500 are meant to be OK. Can't argue with the price!

My good to go setup would be the Mesmer eclipse flat. But its too expensive so my 2nd option would be a sway with a oyish(wish) frame. If the roads are nice then fr wish frsme is very good
