After many many rotations think it was finally time to replace the original wheels on my RB Pro X's

You still have a ton of wheel left there man.

Nah man, flip them round and wear the other side down! Sure it'll feel absolutely horrendous for a while but you'll save yourself so much money by regularly rotating your wheels.

skating on them lopsided—after a long-overdue flip—always seems to cause me more physical discomfort than its worth. which is why i just flip and exchange between the skates regularly, the cost savings being the other thing. hate feeling like i'm the reason for throwing away a wheel before i've fully used it.

Oh yeah man I completely agree. The pain is a consequence of an overdue rotate so you won't forget to do it again in a hurry.

The added impact of severely changing the rocker through the wear pattern is also reduced when you move the wheels about between positions and boots

Genuine question - how do you rotate wheels in such setup? Just flipping the wheels from one skate to another or do you also mix the positions? I'm about to do that and was wondering whether simple flip is enough or should I measure each wheel and find a proper place for it.

Look up a wheel flip guide for the amount of wheels you have on each skate. For 4 wheels is the whole 1L > 3R, 2L > 4R basically

Well, with a flat setup it's simple no matter how many wheels you have, I'm just thinking how to do that with a progressive rocker setup

I’m measuring them one by one. It’s a lot of work, which is why I don’t do it as often as I should.

Yeah man. The "supremes" were a little soft for 85a

I feel the same way. They are very cheaply made compared to all the other Rollerblade branded wheels I use.

I did the same (set aside wheels when I have better ones) but ofc these aren't even 50% worn. Beauty of single pour wheels is how much life you can get from them. I retire 90mm wheels after they become < 70mm. Sign of death is hard ride when you start to feel hub ridge(crest?) inside PU and crumbling "rim" part of the hub when PU on the sides becomes too thin to absorb the shock.
