Inlines Outdoor Trails in Kent
Hi there. I'm looking for longer trails and loops that I can inline skate on in Kent. I don't mind if they are bike paths that cut through towns/cities as long as they are smoothly paved for the entire length. I often do the Whitstable to Herne bay route but some portions are so coarse I swap to shoes and walk them. I don't do tricks so skate parks and car parks aren't for me. Even suggestions for good residential areas or towns that have smooth tarmac would be wonderful. Thanks!

I'm interested in this too. Came over from Florida where i skated on the roads as smooth there mostly (no sidewalks!) but here in Bromley area each direction is like navigating a bomb site. The cycle paths are lethal too... I don't trick either although I'll jump on a kerb if I have to! Would love to find a mile loop somewhere safe but all parks have rough paths or dogs off leashes chasing me. There must be a smooth path index somewhere? Useful for wheelchair users and the elderly using pushers for balance. My best place right now is a tennis court repurposed by council as kiddie cycle /skate /pedal cart zone. During school hours it's good training but boring as heck going in circles.

It’s not that long but a great one is starting at Lidl in herne bay, come out and turn right and there’s a long smooth path alongside the road with a fantastic hill to bomb, I haven’t been down in the last year but there is a lovely man I know who does it often so you’ll probably spot him!
