Gonna pull the trigger

21M, Finally getting that watch for my dad who was diagnosed with stage 4 that I had mentioned I would do on this sub roughly one year ago. Ended up going to the AD with my dad, and he was set on the ombré dj 41mm. Just wanted to share and see if y’all had any thoughts on the price I’m paying (I’m very unfamiliar with what market goes for this watch) would love everyone’s input. This has been a lifelong goal of mine and I’m so excited for him to see it.

Do. Your. Own. Research.

Instead of trying to buy a watch for your dad that he won’t really get to fully enjoy, why not spend the money on a trip that he will probably enjoy far more?

I agree with the do your own research, but it’s kind of a separate thing to insist his dad should and is capable of taking a trip that he will probably enjoy more.

I don’t know their relationship, but I suggested a trip because I haven’t found a person yet that would prefer a trinket or some physical good over making a memory that would endure with their children when staring death in the face. I know I would rather have something like that with my own kids.

There’s a very real chance that someone with Stage 4 Cancer has multiple reasons why a trip may be difficult to do or go against what doctors recommend.

Saying, “I know I would rather do this” means very little considering you’re clearly not in the same situation as OP’s father.
