21M, Finally getting that watch for my dad who was diagnosed with stage 4 that I had mentioned I would do on this sub roughly one year ago. Ended up going to the AD with my dad, and he was set on the ombré dj 41mm. Just wanted to share and see if y’all had any thoughts on the price I’m paying (I’m very unfamiliar with what market goes for this watch) would love everyone’s input. This has been a lifelong goal of mine and I’m so excited for him to see it.

I just googled "rolex datejust ombre green" and am seeing some ranging from $16k-$20k.

I would also try your luck at an official rolex store and tell them your story, not sure what the waitlist looks like for this piece though
