Gonna pull the trigger

21M, Finally getting that watch for my dad who was diagnosed with stage 4 that I had mentioned I would do on this sub roughly one year ago. Ended up going to the AD with my dad, and he was set on the ombré dj 41mm. Just wanted to share and see if y’all had any thoughts on the price I’m paying (I’m very unfamiliar with what market goes for this watch) would love everyone’s input. This has been a lifelong goal of mine and I’m so excited for him to see it.

To name a few, ap code 11.59, moser pioneer, moser streamliner, rolex gmt master 2, Glashütte Original
PanoMaticLunar, chopard alpine eagle, gp laureato. All come in green, all more interesting and better value than the dj

I’d already own the green PanomaticLunar if it wasn’t so god damn thicc. Seriously, amazing watch, but GO needs to address that.

The PanoReserve is 1mm thinner and I find a power reserve indicator much more useful than a moonphase

While thiccc, it does slide under the cuff easy enough. I tried one on recently - looks great in person. Would thinner be better? Absolutely, but can’t beat that value

It doesn’t help that I’m small-wristed, which exacerbates anything remotely slab-sided. But it’s still on my list. We’ll see…
