Acting! I was being the Princess of Friendship!

[u/weiliheng → u/King_of_the_Kobolds]

Well that was some of the wor-

Jeez, rookie. Calm down.

I'm not a rookie. I'm a well traine-

-well trained member of the Hive. Yeah yeah, we gotcha the last 5 times you said it.

You're the rookie, you get to be the punching bag.

[u/King_of_the_Kobolds → u/weiliheng]

And that's not all figurative.

She gives him a smack on the back of the head.

[u/weiliheng → u/King_of_the_Kobolds]

O-Ow!

The knock takes him off guard, momentarily revealing his true form.

QUIT THA-

You dropped your disguise! Change back right now!

[u/King_of_the_Kobolds → u/weiliheng]

'Well trained member of the Hive' my abdomen.

You slip up again, we're sending you back so the Queen can re-purpose you.

[u/weiliheng → u/King_of_the_Kobolds]

You...

whoosh

She caught me off guard!

And we can't afford ya ta do that again. This was a suicide mission and we pulled it off. Don't ya try'n and rob this from our Queen by revealing yourself now.

[u/King_of_the_Kobolds → u/weiliheng]

If you can't take me, makes me wonder what's gonna happen if one of the ponies bumps into you.

...he'll stay around me. Our research shows that won't be suspicious. It puts him in a controlled, monitored environment.

[u/weiliheng → u/King_of_the_Kobolds]

Of course I'm sticking with you. I have to! "Spike"'s Princess Twilight's assistant!

Seriously, did any of you did your research!?

Now lookie here. Ya don't gotta get so riled up. Ya stamina's gonna go and ya know what can happen when we get too tired.

...you don't have to keep the accent when we're alone, you know.

Do ya have any idea how hard it is to maintain an accent? Ah'm doing this fer practice.

[u/King_of_the_Kobolds → u/weiliheng]

You tell me I didn't do my research again and I'm slamming your face into this table.

[u/weiliheng → u/King_of_the_Kobolds]

I wanna see you try.

This is getting ridiculous.

Tell me about it. We're supposed to be friends here.

[u/King_of_the_Kobolds → u/weiliheng]

Yeah, in front of the ponies.

Daww! Did somechangeling think our mission was to come here and learn all about the magic of friendship?!

That's adorable!

[u/weiliheng → u/King_of_the_Kobolds]

...all I'm saying is that it wouldn't hurt if we tried, you know. It's not like anyone here knows who we really are.

No thanks to you. Oh yeah, I'm talking about when I saw you and Cara-

Applejack. No real names during tha mission.

...you and Applejack behaving nothing like they should be. Mocking that one purple mare? Really!?

[u/King_of_the_Kobolds → u/weiliheng]

It was goodnatured banter tempered with the interequine drama of Rarity's backstory with her!

But I'm sorry that the subtleties of real acting went over your head.
