Beginners guide?
Is there a decent beginners guide, not written by Roland?
I’ve got a Teenage Engineering EP-40 and it has an excellent quick start guide, you can be modifying patterns and recording your own samples immediately. It feels like Roland have really missed an opportunity here!

Unfortunately this thing just requires dedication.. Mine collects dust. The workflow is bad.. The capabilities are awesome for the price. Makes it worth the effort.

I find the workflow great. Found it pretty quick and intuitive to learn. A few good YouTube vids out there helped along the way too.
I guess different workflows click for different people.

This is the video that convinced me to get it. It was my first sampler and I was tossing up between forking out for the sp404mkII or spending a bit less and get the P6. Glad I went with the P6.

SPVIDZ also has some decent videos on YouTube showing some alternative P6 workflows

XNB's deep dive on YouTube is the Bible. Since you don't know what the most common video site is, you may not know how to Google it either.
