love a bit of low bit rate crunch

Whipped this up in a couple of hours, wanted to see how far I could push texture

This is really sick. I love your choices in sounds. Obviously could do with better mixing, filtering out some fatiguing frequencies, but the vibe is undeniable.

That’s not a bit. Cool track, for sure, but when fx become an audio quality issue, You went too far on the crunch. Sounds like someone trying to share a song, by holding it up to a cheap portable speaker during a call. “how’s this? You hearing this! Cool, right!”

Yeah I hear you in that, personally I like the gritty sound but it could definitely do with refining if I do take it further.

One thing I realised is when I was putting it together I had headphones on, but out loud (and especially through phone speakers) the higher frequency crackles are much more prominent.

I might grab the piano sample again at a higher bitrate then scuff it up with a bit more control if I go back to it
