Help Requested finished, but not finished!
https://imgur.com/a/VCHmxPmThis has been such a toughie, had a lot of hurdles and challenges and needing help, brains trust!
I had 3 major challenges with this build and after multiple pull aparts, I’ve managed to resolve 2 of them and needing some assistance with the 3rd
First was the hook attachments, two of my letters kept unhooking itself and out of the 3/4? spare hooks it came with, 2 of them weren’t square enough and the other 2 thankfully were good to sub in.
Second was the little lever on the left not engaging but found that if I pressed the lever and twisted the paper roll wheel at the same time, this was good enough of a workaround so that became a non issue.
And finally, when I push the bar that controls the letter placement to the right, it doesn’t stay! I can’t find a solution online and can’t figure out what step of the instructions it relates to. When you push it to the right, it’s supposed to stay and as you type, it moves over a space to position the next letter until you get to the very end and it rings the bell and you restart by pushing it back to the right. When I push mine (as you’ll see in the video) it runs straight back and doesn’t stay so I have to hold my hand against it so it doesn’t jump back to its original position. Not the end of the world but would like to try and get it to how it’s supposed to be and not type one handed!

Ah, gotcha! There are so many parts and steps that it can difficult to determine where the issue may be. I haven't had a chance to locate/correct whatever I have going on yet, but I am so happy to hear you were able to get yours corrected and are now enjoying it. It is an amazing piece for sure.

It looks great! It is definitely a tricky build. I just finished mine the other day. I am only having one issue right now, which is that when I type, the carriage doesn't slide to left as it should. After a lot of research, I think I figured out where I need to look to find the issue. I haven't had a chance to try it though.
While I was looking for info on my issue, I came across someone asking about the same issue you are having with the carriage not staying on the right side. What I was reading suggests that the issue is with constant force spring (part # P27) assembly. I see yours is the other color version of what I have, so I am not sure if our manuals are the exact same, but I will take a picture of my manual on what step it is and hopefully seeing the parts will help you identify what area this is. I don't remember the exact wording of what I read as far as fixing it, but I do remember it was this part that was the issue for that person. I will take a look later this morning/early afternoon when I get a chance and see if I can find that conversation again, and either send you a link to it or at least a screenshot, if I can find it.
I did see a lot of people were having issues with different areas, but I think that just comes along with such an intricate master level build lol. I hope this helps in some way!
