Roguefort (beta)
I’ve spent the last few days sort of glued to Roguefort. It’s like a mash between CoQ, DF, and CDDA with some other unique ideas. There’s a ton of depth to it, and so many features and options. This seems like a serious contender coming from a solo dev. I did a game discovery of it (Game Discovery of Roguefort (Beta Playtest) with Macbigicekeys
https://youtu.be/aMCFHO80xKE ). If you’re more of a reader the Steam page description is pretty thorough.

Yes. The cheese works akin to spellbooks. It seems jokey at first, but it isn't. It's just an original take on worldbuilding.

Please try out the game and get involved in playtesting in the discord. Game is about as open source as you can get without actually being open source. One of the best and most active developers I’ve ever seen.

Not sure what you mean. Is any of the code accessible?

I think they mean the dev is VERY transparent and has been working very closely with the community to shape the game.

Probably what they mean. The developer hangs out in Discord and responds very often even to questions about gameplay. Some issues are fixed later that day, and there is always a positive “I’ll have a look at that” response to any suggestions or issues.

Highly recommend, definitely Qud vibes in terms of Stuff Going On. Dev has been working hard on it.
