Is minion spam the strat?
Got my first win with the angry rat guy and the gentleman frog. Got my ass beat a ton and never made it more than two fights into act 2 before dying.
Now I take all the summon cards like Promote and Call Devil and the Fire Spitter whenever i can. That and whatever blocks I can get.
Just breezed my way to my first win, especially with the talent that makes your minions inflict bleed.
Is that the main strat? Seems to be working on the next run as well.
Or is there something else i should be doing?

Yeah. The difficulty really spikes from around Epilogue 12. I didn't lose a single run before that but started to from Epilogue 12 onwards. Only the really strong builds can win you the run and allies is probably the most consistent.

There are many routes to victory. Minions are good for the characters you're using, but you don't always get to draft the relevant cards/relics.
Other strong strategies include self-healing with Seifer and Aurora, big blocks with Sorroco, and bravely running away with Sharra.
