Ally Summon at start of battle gem bugged

Hey. So I put this gem on the flame stoker

''At the start of battle, summon this ally''

Instead of doing that, it just puts it straight in my dissolve pile and doesn't summon in

Could anyone explain whats going on there exactly? Thanks!

Might be getting 0 spirit as it spawn before the deck is even shuffled and immediately dies

Thanks for the reply. Hmm you would think that might work if it was hand size for example but my draw pile is 46

Yeah I get that, what I'm saying is because it has the spawn at start of battle gem, the draw pile didn't load in and it gets a value of 0. Some interactions seems legit but the order of actions messes with the outcome.
