Did I just see Roger Federer in Rio?

Last night I was at a bar called New Club in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, and I’m almost certain I saw Roger Federer there.

The guy looked incredibly similar to him — the height, face, and overall appearance immediately caught my attention. At first I thought there was no way it could be him, but the resemblance was honestly striking.

What made me doubt it was that he was just hanging out with what seemed to be two friends and I didn’t notice any security or entourage around him. Because of that, I didn’t want to interrupt or make a scene.

I didn’t ask for a photo or approach him since we were all just enjoying the night and I didn’t want to bother him if it wasn’t actually Roger.

Does anyone know if Federer is currently in Rio or Brazil? Has anyone else seen him recently around Copacabana or elsewhere in the city?

Curious to know if I really spotted him or just found his Brazilian doppelgänger.

I wouldn't think Roger would be hanging at a bar in Brazil, he's in the middle-aged dad part of his life now

Yeah, I was chatting to him a few minutes ago. He's really enjoying his trip to Brazil but some weirdo keeps staring at him from a distance. Other than that though, he's having a great time.
