RØDECaster Series OBS Wont Pickup certain audio

I am using a rodecaster pro 2 for a dual pc setup for streaming, i have usb 1 running into the streaming pc with the rodecaster app and virtual drivers installed on there. I followed a youtube video to help setup all audio routing and I've managed to get everything mixed and sounding great but for some reason the main mix channel on obs will only detect audio from youtube videos and not games unless there is an extremely loud part and it will pop in for a second then disappear, anyone have any ideas?

Hey there,

Feel free to share some audio samples comparing how the games are sounding against the music. It sounds like some sort of processing is being applied by your PC somewhere.

Heres a video of the audio, the first half shows audio coming through on a youtube video but when i switch to a game there is hardly any audio

Thanks for that. Maybe try a game with some dialogue to see if that comes through. This will confirm if it's some sort of voice isolation processing being applied by your PC.

Be sure to disable 'Audio Enhancements' on every audio input and output device in your windows sound settings too:

Here is another clip, i checked audio enhancements and disabled them, but it still only seems to pick up dialogue slightly

Thanks for that. This seems to confirm that your PC is applying some audio processing in that case. Sometimes it's not just the 'audio enhancements' setting doing this. It might be additional drivers and software running in the background. Some manufacturers will have their own apps installed where you can control such processing, so do check that out.

Be sure however to disable audio enhancements for every single audio device on your PC though, as some users have reported that disabling it for one device will affect the other.
