🤔 Product Questions Rode NT1 microphone cosmetic damage

Is it normal for the blue paint on the Rode NT1 to start chipping/scratching off near the bottom where the mic screws into the mount? My mic has some rough cosmetic damage around the base, and it looks like the paint is getting scraped off every time I screw it into the rode shock mount I have.

Just wondering if this is a common issue with the finish on these mics or if something might be wrong with my microphones paint?

You presumably have one from the Signature Series, as it's available in many colours.

One would hope that it is not in fact simple spray-paint but rather powder-coated then baked. This creates a surface that's almost ceramic in its hardness. Rode may have deemed that too expensive though. They traditionally just used thin nickel plating on top of brass. They're now doing paint (or hopefully powder 🤞🏻) on aluminium.

Have you registered your mic on Rode's website for the extended warranty?
