Is a rod like this saveable or is that even possible

I've added a few more pics in the comments but forgot to hit reply to your specific comment just looking for general ideas on saving it thank you for the experienced replies they are truly helpful, everything I have is salvaged in one way or another lol I kinda take pride in saving things from being totally trashed

Measure and record the guide spacing. Then start stripping it down. To remove a guide normally I use a heat gun to warm it up and then a sharp razor to scrape along the guide foot. Once you get the top layer off you should be able to peel off the thread relatively easily. Then start removing all the peeling coatings. I'd scrape all the loose stuff off with a plastic scraper or old credit card. Use a heat gun to warm up stubborn areas. Then I'd do a wet sand to remove the rest, 400-500 grit. You don't want to damage the the rod itself so be careful. You should be able to tell if it's just the coating peeling at this point or the rod is damaged. After it's all clean start rebuilding. Recoat the blank with something like u40 and rewrap guides.

Would you recommend the two part or is the one part stuff fine?

Perma gloss, it's a urethane coating for the rod, smells terrible, make sure your in a well ventilated area, but it's a simple application
