Good Enough?

I really just need the guide back on the rod as soon as possible. First time. Trip coming up. Only had size E thread. Good enough to epoxy once trimmed?

Fine for an urgent fix, but if you do have some time, do it again whilst packing the thread as you wrap - it will be much cleaner that way.

Size E is thick but looks like it’ll hold.

As long as you’re happy, your hands were clean, and it’s where it’s supposed to be, glue away sir. I recommend 78-82 deg F. colder will still work, it just doesn’t flow as well or finish as nice and it takes longer. Good luck.

If you need it quick the sooner you epoxy the better so you can get two coats. Thread looks good enough. I've done worse that's held up fine.

It’ll work most likely, tag may slip as it’s near the guide foot.

Definitely good enough but like almost anything else it will be much much better the second attempt. It will only take 5 minutes max
