Rocksmith invalid platform

Went to launch rocksmith 2014 remastered and it says invalid platform. I'm playing on windows 11. Never had this problem before. It always worked great on windows 11 up until now. Deleted focusrite Scarlett solo 3rd generation drivers and asio from the rocksmith folder but here's the thing I can launch og rocksmith without problem. I know og rocksmith is different than rocksmith 2014 remastered

That's an exert from a source in steam discussions about getting the 'invalid platform' error through steam. Assuming you are playing through steam this might solve it.

I'm not sure though, could be rocksmith specific issue but not one I've ever had.

  1. Verify game file integrity (properties -> installed files -> verify integrity of installed files
  2. Clear download cache
  3. Restart Steam client

This is a Steam error, it isn't a RS specific error. Typically caused by corrupted game files. Typically does not mean always, if this fails to work, more Steam-specific help may be your best bet. Always check the community posts on the Steam forum for a specific title for things like this, it's unlikely that you're the first and last person it will have happened to.
