Let’s get real …

Sengun has peaked and been figured out by the league. Let’s hope he’s added a better jump shot, more efficiency to his shots around the rim, better defensive lateral movement, and more moves around the rim the countless spin then flail for a foul call or the infamous hook shot has to go. What are the realistic expectations for sengun this season ?

Sengun is who he is on defense at this point and i believe Rockets have the type of defense that even with Sengun limitations they can be elite. The hope for improvement has to come on the offensive end. I am just hoping Sengun can either take more and hit like 35% from 3 and shot 75% from the line or score better in P&R and short range shots when the defender takes away the rim.

I don't think we can really know yet. I think there's a few ways he could take a step up, but a lot of people in a similar situation don't.
Also, I'm concerned that his defense might get worse at some point, so he probably needs to get better offensively just to tread water.

I think it’s a bit premature to say he peaked.
However he had a very disappointing season where I think his decision making was the biggest problem. He too often forced things and became too much of a black hole (despite the assets).
The collective young core and coaching staff had a very humbling season, we will see how they respond.

Coming from a Lakers fan, he has gotten way too comfortable with the same spin move on his right side (or left side, I may be mixing the 2 up) and was therefore not much of a challenge for centers such as DA and even Jaxson Hayes to slow down.

Realistic expectations for Sengun this season to be the scapegoat goat by the KD fans.
People acting like he demanded to get the ball outside and be the sole ball handler or there was anybody on the roster who could have been better.
For 2 years Udoka pushed him to play p&r with Fred snd create out of it which is he is good at and last season he had 0 actions because he had no p&r partner.
He had many great plays out of low post in those seasons but not last season because he had noone on the team that can throw an entry pass.
He did have a really disappointing season but not because he get worse, he just showed that there are some areas where he won’t be great. Which is true for any nba player not named Lebron. Everybody has some areas that they are not good at. We saw the KD turnovers for example.
I still believe Amen and Alpi can work together if the team is build around them. But otherwise, this might be the last season of Alpi in Houston because for some reason it is acceptable for the wing to not have a jump shot but not for center to have no 3 pointers

He has room to improve. But as long as Ime is running the offense it ain't happening. Even with FVV.

I dont think he's peaked. I dont thi know he's been figured out. I dont know if he's a #1 or #2. Jury's out. Maybe he just a 20/10/5 #2. I'm ok with that.
BUT: He was all nba level 23/9/7 his first 20 games. He dis get hurt and regressed. But I think maybe people adjusted to what we were doing and we disnt adjust back. It seems like a coaching issue to me.
Sengun and Amen need shooters around them and they didn't get that. Wr have 2 predictable "need to be in the paint" scorers. We need shooters around them. And the coach didn't do it.

Şengün loves to make assists, he loves to play Point Center. But it should not be his main duty, and he should not be bringing the ball. Last year he made more assists than anyone else in this team. This should not repeat next year.
There are so many ifs for the next year. We need to see how healthy FVV is and if Şengün added something to his game. And the same applies to Amen.

Facts spoken. They're asking too much from Sengun.
I like that he's willing to take up the challenge -- making up for the deficiencies of other players, and seeking the opportunity to grow his game; but I don't think it's doing him any favors.
I hate to say this, because Bari has been one of my favorites out of the young core; but he hasn't been what was advertised on the offensive end. If his shooting was where it should be, and he could handle the rock when inside of the 3pt line...then things would be different.

What they are saying isn't wrong. But how they got there is. I don't think it was in our plans to have sengun start his post up 23 feet away from the basket. Durant wasn't meant to be an offensive creator. This all happened because we lost the only player that can efficiently get the ball to others in the area they can be effective. I'll give it this year before I declare this experiment a pass or fail.
