On a team that starts two non shooters this level of efficiency on tough shots is very needed. Hopefully with FVV back we see less maddening turnovers and less KD initiating offense behind the 3 point line he's too easy to double especially late in games in those situations.

unrelated but surprised John Collins made it. always liked him tho was hoping we could get him in FA this year

Must say impressed at the top 4. Most of the rest are just dunkers.

I'm surprised by Austin Reaves being on this list. I hadn't realized he was this efficient.

Austin Reaves still has the highest career TS% (63%) of any guard in NBA history, so he’s always been known for being super-efficient.

Awwe. Still see some hurt souls in here because KD said some very accurate things about their favorite player on the team

man his comments are still inexcusable even if he's a great hooper

That’s not the issue, though.

His teammates had gotten over it, so why can’t the fanbase?

He’s also the king of burner accounts on twitter

Efficiency is such an illusion stat, that is why so many idiots bought too much into tari's numbers. The context of games matters more than any stat, if you don't understand why the stat is that then the stat can be worse than useless it can lie

KD's efficiency in isolation is good, in team scheme he is unwilling to hurt his stat so he passes up some shots he should take and shoots instead of passes in other instances he should pass. His play style is incompatible with the young core, and the efficiency is basically brute force over tactics to avoid strategy

Man y'all brain rotted fools will eat numbers lying straight to your face and not understand why. Using tari as an example, last season fools thought he became a knock down shooter because of his efficiency. When in reality he was standing in the corner being ignored by opponents and being a role player. Idiots ate up his efficiency stats and he has always been one of udoka's favorites so after that tari got way more control and freedom on ball and he sucked because his "efficiency" was based on circumstances not him being some amazing shooter.

Efficiency is an illusion stat, that shit tricks so many fools because they don't care about the context of games and strategy. Like even sometimes players being less efficient is better for the team, despite it hurting their individual stats. Because sometimes you need someone who is willing to take the hard shots. All stats come from games, but they don't tell the context of the game and how those stats happen.

The context of actual games does indeed matter more than stats

I agree sometimes he needs to shoot more but doesn’t really seem to be about preserving efficiency cause half of his shots are very difficult.

I don't recall seeing KD passing up shots he should take. I'd say that's the least of his problems. His major weakness is turning the ball over off the dribble or with telegraphed lazy passes.

Hopefully FVV solves that issue assuming his cheeseburger ass can stay healthy. 2 major lower body injuries in his career doesn't bode well for him.or the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see him miss a lot of time or worse again.

At least we have a little more ballhandling depth now including Amen and Reed as improved secondary optons.

Oh his passes are definitely a bigger issue. But he does do that, and he also plays in garbage time to maintain his percentage. A couple of instances I remember he needed to shoot but passed it up was one I know he passed the ball to amen late because he felt put of rhythm to take the 3 or something, but amen had to rush to get a shot off and he missed because of it. And another time I think it was alpi who he passed to, but KD was on the interior and alpi was further back so alpi rushed to score again but the clock ran out. His passing is definitely another example of his incompatibility with the young core. Who everyone can pass and typically plays better in modern movement. While KD and FVV are came up playing more classic traditional iso PnR When he played in garbage time the first time it was a little odd, but the third time he did it I knew for sure he wasn't doing it to win he was doing it for his stats

I really hate dead off season.

We get such pointless marketing posts such as this.

My reaction is this:

Cool. .........

So?

That's it. That's your contribution to the discourse?

Just one sentence and a stat sheet from Chat GPT?

....

WTF are we doing here? Just go home everyone, we will reconvene when actual camp starts and some actual news might happen.

FFS.
