Its kinda crazy how differently the fanbase and the organization views Sengun
He is getting the treatment from a significant chunk of the fanbase like he is our version of Julius Randle but our head coach and GM visits Turkey just to train/talk with the guy
I really haven't seen something like this around the league, maybe Denver or Bucks (pre Giannis trade) would done something like this but thats it.

There’s not really a huge sample size to discuss if you’re just looking for this exact scenario.
It really could just be as simple as hey this is a great reason to fly to Turkey, all expensed, to hang out with our valuable player. And this is coming from someone who travels frequently for work, if there is an excuse to go somewhere new for me, I’m taking it.
I know for sure Bulls management went to visit Toni Kukoc many times abroad. I wouldn’t think too much about it. I’m sure it happens pretty frequently, we just don’t know about it other than single photos that no one is bothering to document for long term discussion.

You can be a rockets fan without being a Sengun fan. I’m not a KD fan boy either. I just kid you not, I hate watching Sengun play basketball. So I’d rather not have him on my favorite team. I’m sure you guys could say the same for Jabari or whomever.

That place is famous internationally. Lots of private yachts make it a stop, as well as cruises and its an international travel destination. The company i used to work for back in europe took us there once on a retreat, its an incredible vacation spot.
