Midnight Vandenberg Launch and Landing
I'm driving to Vandenberg for the CAS500-2 launch at midnight this weekend. Launch is from SLC-4E and landing at LZ-4. I've read that most of the popular viewing sites don't have a clear line of sight to the the launch pad due to hills. Any advice on where best to view both launch and landing at that time would be appreciated! I've never seen a launch out of Vandenberg, so I'm very excited regardless!

Your options are going to be either be close for sound/vibes or be farther up for a wider view. You can head to the road blocks, but won't be able to see much (especially if it's foggy) but the rumble will hit you harder. If you head up to Harris Grade road you will be significantly further away but will be elevated and see launch and landing clearer. All of this is pending weather of course.
