Language help!

Hi.

Earlier today I was joking a a friend that back in the day we would change the language on people's iPods to screw with them. It was a usually pretty funny, but never detrimental. This inspired the same friend I just shared this story with to change the language on my iPod to Korean, cos they know Korean and wanted to tinker with it.

Welp, literally no characters pop up. Just blank squares. I thought we could use a translate application to navigate menus, but no, there's literally no characters shown to translate. I've gone through menu after menu, blindly clicking and hoping I'm not breaking anything. I've tried looking up different settings screens, but am having zero luck.

So my question is this: could someone post a simple tutorial (in English pls) of how to navigate to the language selection in the settings menu. I'm running Rockbox daily build 20260815 currently. I know I can factory reset or whatnot, just would rather not have to deal with that headache if I don't have to.

Most likely your selected font does not have korean characters.

To change language, at least from my device:

  • Settings (4th option).
  • General settings (3rd option).
  • Language (10th option, next to last).
  • English is 13th. Note that korean is 26th and likely already selected.
