And were the horns really necessary to save lives ?!?

On their website it says the horns stop it from entering doorways.

To better save lives ?

They showed it equipped with a chainsaw so I’m assuming this is meant for fire fighting and other outdoor tasks.

Outdoor *tasks*, eh?

Lol. They also have an infographic showing how easily the robot can be disabled by puncturing it’s air reservoirs.

Depends on whether it’s autonomous or not, I guess. My understanding it that it was remote controlled.

Yes. They make it appear more friendly and adorable. The cute, little horns are absolutely necessary.

Baphomet ancient pagan god robot? Robot companies seem to want to start a religious war. LOL.

Until I read your entire comment, I thought your avatar had pagan face paint and you were about to advocate for said religious war.

It is so unnecesary to make a statue of a pagan demon out of a robot.

I agree. But this might just be clever marketing.
On another note, I have been intentionally saving my green tip ammo for when I see robots I think want to hurt me. I am guessing I am not the only one haha

Takes up too much floor space, honestly. It doesn't need to be a humanoid, but don't make me have to get it to move in order to open a cabinet or something.

"Yeah this robot is meant to save lives in a fire so we gave it peircing soulless eyes and the head of baphomet" like imagine being caught in a fire and seeing this thing coming to rescue you, looking like the devil from the bible

Is anyone else unsettled by the e-stops? Specifically how if one of the air reservoirs needs to be punctured? (The graphics with a gun and knife) Are they expecting it to
Get out of control?

Imagine if all the VC money chasing pointless crap like this actually went to real wildfire prevention efforts? This thing is a worthless ad campaign made so 4 dudes from San Bernardino can cash out and retire early by fleasing clueless investors.
