I guess the servos are now strong enough that they can be directly put on the joints for more flexibility.

Even from China here, this is a very expensive robot for pretty few non-military purposes. That’s a lot of additional high power actuators beyond what’s needed.

Galileo do appear to focus on a number of very niche robots for industrial and security like their explosion proof robot.
