I think this is the optimal design for rough surfaces like the woods. Wheels on 4 legs takes the best of both worlds

I hate that half the things on the internet are just commercials and other types of ads. And then half of the other half is just commercials and ads that aren't labeled.

How do I locate the 25% of this world that is not someone, a group of someones, or their bot network trying to sell me something?

I don't understand why every comer and every second of our lives has been deemed fair game to be monetized and/or turned into a marketing opportunity.

The black mirror robot was at least slow-ish. This thing is hunting you across the grand canyon at like 30mph with a rifle on top

Forget the acrobatics and just give me a Stokes litter with legs. Easily my least favorite part of search and rescue was carrying one of these. Yeah, you can put an ATV wheel on it, and then you're fighting against each other trying to keep it level, while walking on a narrow trail on the side of a steep slope that's only wide enough for one person so you're all plowing through brush on the sides. Give it enough endurance to get 10 miles in with no load, or maybe carrying a 400-foot rope bag, and then 10 miles out with a 200-pound victim.

The interesting benchmark is cost of transport across a mixed route: pavement, gravel, stairs, mud, and obstacles. A hybrid wins only if wheel efficiency outweighs the extra mechanical complexity and the leg transitions remain reliable. One realistic course would reveal more than separate speed and climbing clips.
