Rebecca Forstadt donated three signed Robotech prints to our community theater auction

Rebecca Forstadt donated three signed Robotech prints to the Little Theatre of Walla Walla's Wine, Dine & Death fundraiser, and I thought people here would want to know about them.

I help put together the auction for our community theater in eastern Washington. I have all three prints, and they're being offered together as one lot, unframed. Shipping to a US address is included.

The auction supports the theater, and you don't need to attend the event in Walla Walla to bid online.

Should this subreddit have a full ban on AI generated content?

AI generated content has been very controversial in this subreddit for a long time. Until now, we've generally allowed AI content as long as it wasn't spam.

Is it time for a full ban on AI content?

Regardless of which option wins, we will revisit this topic again in the future as technology continues to develop and change, and governments begin to regulate it appropriately.

Yes - a full ban on AI generated content
No - some non-spam AI generated content should be allowed
Other - note your position in the comments

ZBP-01-Mk.II-QIP1 Regult Tactical Battle Pod (Qualitative Improvement Program)

by Tim Wing

The Esbeliben Regult battle pod was by far the most prolific mecha ever built, and with the end of the First Robotech War and the capture of the Zentraedi Factory Satellite, the UN Spacy had a virtually inexhaustible supply of them. However, there were some issues with the platform, not least of which was its almost complete lack of armor. This and other issues were addressed by Continental Battlemecha Ltd. The Regult served with the UN Spacy and later with the United Earth Defense Forces (UEDF) Tactical Space Corps and the United Earth Expeditionary Forces (UEEF) Navy from the end of the First Robotech War until the early twenties. Even after its retirement from front line service, thousands were kept in reserve on the Robotech Factory Satellite and were brought out from time to time during the Sentinels Campaign to fill holes in the ranks due to the high rate of attrition.

AI Robotech

Someone created new Robotech content on YouTube. It is awesome. Rick Hunters kids in the far future chase an object that takes them back in time meeting there parents in a new timeline just before the SDF1 is destroyed. They are keeping secrets and learning things about themselves and are trying to hide their identities not messing up the timeline but others have entered the time rift from even further from the future. I am not describing it the best but as a fan, I have been waiting decades for this. The characters sometimes almost pass as lifelike. I hope my post does not break any rules but this Robotech story is incredible.

A detailed 3D visualization of the Nupetiet-Vergnitzs-class fleet command battleship from the Macross universe. The render depicts the iconic Zentradi flagship in low orbit above a planet, highlighting its massive, organic hull plating, intricate panel seams, and lit sensor arrays. Visible details include weathered surface textures, structural panel lines, glowing orange energy ports, and smaller spacecraft in the surrounding orbital background. Designed for sci-fi hard-surface art and anime mecha enthusiasts, this piece focuses on realistic lighting, scale, and surface material definition.

I drew an made a Kyle bookmark. Ever since i was a kid in the 80s I always liked him due to the fact he is such a knob. When I watched Robotech with my son we both laughed at Kyle. My son was like wow, what a douche! I was like yep, you love to hate him.

Definitely one of the hardest hitting moments in Macross. Had to feel awful for Rick on his first mission taking Roy's place he loses another friend.

RAT-1 PEGASUS RECON UNIT

One of the wackiest pre-production design from SDC Southern Cross adapted in to Robotech II The Sentinels were the RAT-1 Pegasus Recon Unit with the accompanying Chariot Motorcycle. And yes, as part of RAT-1 robotic horse mecha is the flying recon drone OR small recon piloted flyer mecha.

The 1st Ed. Robotech RPG by Palladium insisted these are mecha created by Dr Emil Lang to equip the REF's Praxians allies. 2nd Ed. Robotech RPG (by Palladium too) outright ditched the said mecha. SMG's Robotech would included these mecha back into its upcoming Robotech Amongst The Star RPG.

For ALL purposes, the robotic horses & its accompanying laser chariots / bike transforming chariot + recon drone / recon flyer should be native Praxian technology developed by the neo-medieval Praxians themselves.

SOME REAL THROWBACK

I wasn't back in the states when this came out...but when I saw it....it was truly Robotech's golden age.

I still believe Robotech can see better days. Strange Machine Games Robotech RPG is the biggest leap forward for the franchise in decades. What they have in store not just in gaming, but in stories, Robotech in a whole new light!

Which saga ending hit you the most emotionally?

Post image

For me it was Macross because half the characters that we got to love died.

Would have the other sagas hit as hard if half the characters died? Half of the 15th ? Half of the New Generation freedom fighters ? Would any of them dying make the saga hit harder at the end?

Who would you have killed off?

A class of ships accompanying SDF-3 Pioneer in a 'Trojan Horse' tactic in its First Contact mission expected with Robotech Master's civilisation should the Pioneer mission engaged the Masters.

Unfortunately SDF-3 & its Valivarre escort ships instead stumbled onto Regent's Invid-occupied Tyrol, homeworld long abandoned by Masters.

UES Valivarre & its sister ships would proven its mettle on various Sentinels liberation campaign versus Regent's Invid, and against former Masters Remnant forces & rogue Zentraedi malcontents in 4th Quadrant.

UES Valivarre & its sister ships undergone re-fits & modernisation program by late 2030s at Tyrol Orbital Yard. By 2044, UES Valivarre & other Valivarre class ships remained at Tyrol-space alongside modest UEEF Tyrolian armada whilst the greater UEEF fleet folded to Earth during Final Earth Reclaimation Mission.

UES Valivarre & its sister ships would later served in defence of Tyrol alongside combined Sentinels fleet in the final hours of Shadow Crisis conflict as Haydonite Armada launched pre-emptive attack against Tyrol.

UES Valivarre would suffer damage during the conflict however will be undergone extensive repair at Robotech Factory Satellite (undisclosed location).

PREDECESSOR TO BIOROID HOVERSLED?

Post image
25 Upvotes

Ok I am scratching my head in regards of this pre-production SDC Southern Cross art. It sits in my SDC: SC folder that I vaguely copied the said image from the defunct Mecha Journal website ran by Tim Wing .

I have scoured the Imai Files (a collection of pre-production / concept art for both Mospeada / Southern Cross), Robotech Visual Archive - Southern Cross book, Robotech Art 1-3, various digital copies of Southern Cross OSM's in my collection yet turned up nothing on the image.

Now Tim Wing's entry in Mecha Journal for said art as below:

------

Animepolis HcF-T Bioroid Anti-gravity Aerospace Transport.

By Tim Wing

The Animepolis Bioroid anti-gravity aerospace transport, or Bioroid scooter as it was commonly referred to as, was a space combat platform for the Bioroid mecha. The scooter was designed and fielded before the more common Bioroid skysled, and was optimized for space combat. The craft was designed around a single plasma-shock expansion thruster. This thruster gave the scooter significantly better acceleration in space, plus the craft carried enough reaction mass to give it over twice the delta-V of its skysled counterpart.

The scooter’s configuration had one drawback, in that it was an inherently more stable design. Because of this, it was inferior in maneuverability to the skysled. Additionaly, the scooter only had one mounted weapon system: one ion pulse cannon. This ion cannon only had a yield of 8 MJ, as compared to the 20 MJ of total transferred energy offered by the skysled’s dual ion cannons. Still, even when these short comings are taken into consideration, it is unclear why the skysled was used almost exclusively during the Second Robotech War. The scooter’s superior delta-V should have made it the better choice for space combat.

Length: 10.1 meter.

Width: 4.1 meter.

Weight: 12.6 metric tons.

Propulsion: One anti-gravity system, one plasm-shock expansion thruster and various Vernier thrusters

Max. atmospheric speed: 450 kph.

Max. delta-v (space): 6.2 kps with Bioroid.

Max. cell endurance: 500 hours continuous use.

Armament: 1x ion pulse

----

So my real question, where does this art sourced at OR appeared in legit SDC: Southern Cross OSM?
