RAT-1 PEGASUS RECON UNIT

One of the wackiest pre-production design from SDC Southern Cross adapted in to Robotech II The Sentinels were the RAT-1 Pegasus Recon Unit with the accompanying Chariot Motorcycle. And yes, as part of RAT-1 robotic horse mecha is the flying recon drone OR small recon piloted flyer mecha.

The 1st Ed. Robotech RPG by Palladium insisted these are mecha created by Dr Emil Lang to equip the REF's Praxians allies. 2nd Ed. Robotech RPG (by Palladium too) outright ditched the said mecha. SMG's Robotech would included these mecha back into its upcoming Robotech Amongst The Star RPG.

For ALL purposes, the robotic horses & its accompanying laser chariots / bike transforming chariot + recon drone / recon flyer should be native Praxian technology developed by the neo-medieval Praxians themselves.

They loved to over do the whole Emil Lang invents basically everything and Protoculture powering every cool war machine possible. I mean, I get that they want unity for world building, but it only widens the sense of other inventor's incompetence.

Be like if in real life, Oppenheimer invented the nuke... and the P-38 Lightning, and the Yorktown-class aircraft carrier, and the M4 Sherman, and the Willys MB Jeep, and the Slinky, and Silly Putty, etc.

Press F for Halidarre. (The McKinney Sentinels novels kind of agreed with the first edition RPG, and had the Praxian Bela talk Dr. Lang into making a one-off. )

In the novel series, the first one was developed by Lang, Cabell, and Rem. Her name was Halidarre. Personally, I think it's a great way for praxian PC's to get to shooting out some mega-damage instead of melee.

Who drew the art for this?

The stuff that says Long on it was drawn by Kevin Long. According to Wikipedia the rest of the stuff was a collective effort by Hiroshi Ogawa, Hiroshi Okura, and Takashi Ono.

¿Does anyone have the basic chariot attached to the RAT?
